Wolverines on the Web will be a little different going forward: I have taken over the Michigan Newsstand over at TheWolverine.com, so all mainstream news articles will be linked over there. I’ll provide a link every day to the newsstand when it goes up (today’s is here), and then round up all relevant links (Michigan and otherwise) from the blogosphere and post them here. Cool? Cool.

Michigan Football:

  • Made Another Masterpiece While I Was Dreaming — RBUAS — Johnny writes, so you read. Got it? Good.
  • Modern Marvels — MGoBlog — Brian notes just how much easier this win was than Michigan’s last several games against MAC-level squads. Spread offense with working QBs, FTW!
  • Hail! Hail! — Maize n Brew — SCM breaks down the game, and notes the great increase in noise in Michigan Stadium, the NEED for Boubacar Cissoko to stay healthy, and much more.
  • Overzealous Zoltan — MVictors — Greg had media access to the game, and has a ton of great content over there. This is by far the most hilarious bit of video he captured (and most irrelevant, so you should definitely click around on his site). We’re lucky yesterday’s headlines didn’t read: “Wolverines lost All-American punter to tragic banner-touching stampeding accident”.
  • Strap your hands across my dreadlocked engine — Wolverine Liberation Army — It’s tough to overstate how great it is to watch a guy with the playmaking ability of Denard Robinson play quarterback. Also, SWAG.

Around the Big Ten:

  • And now, for an actual recap — We Will Always Have Tempe — Ohio State fans, not exactly pleased with the squeaker over Navy. Sam liked the play of Terrelle Pryor, and that’s about it.
  • Five Things: Navy — Eleven Warriors — 11W isn’t quite as apocalyptic as WWAHT, noting the very solid running game by both Boom Herron and Brandon Saine (aka Boom and Zoom). However, there is a consensus: Anderson Russell sucks.
  • Half Way There — The Lion’s Den — Penn State needs to put together two solid halves of football, as the Nittany Lions had a dud of a second half against Akron. However, asses were still kicked, so I don’t think there’s much to complain about here.
  • Attendance Debacle: Measured — Lake the Posts — Nobody watches Northwestern football, which is sad, since they might actually be decent this year.
  • Replay and React: The good and bad from Saturday’s win — Bucky’s 5th Quarter — Scott Tolzien appears to be a big upgrade at QB for Wisconsin, at least judging by his performance against Northern Illinois.
  • Finding the Statistical Downside to a 44-3 Victory – The Only Colors — Michigan State struggled on first down against Montana State. That’s really the only thing they struggled to do.
  • IOWA CRUSHES NORTHERN IOWA IN 17-16 LAUGHER — Black Heart Gold Pants — I’d probably be doing the same thing. Sucks to be an Iowa fan right now.
